The 17 piece Unicorns Dance Band is one of the longest continuously operating Big Bands serving the San Francisco Peninsula and South Bay areas. Established in the 1950's, the band has performed it's great sounding Big Band and Swing repertoire at hundreds of Bay Area venues. The band is best known for it's contributions to the community by performing pro bono or at a nominal fee for local charity and non-profit groups. The bands extensive song library includes more than 300 titles and covers popular tunes from the 1920's to today. The Unicorns Dance Band is also the official band of the SS Jeremiah O'Brien, a fully restored and operating WW-II Liberty ship home ported in San Francisco. The band is proud to have played on-board the O'Brien for every spring and fall excursion on the bay since the early 1980's.
